LE FOUGA MAGISTER DANS LA FORCE AERIENNE IRLANDAISE
L'armée de l'Air Irlandaise utilisa 6 Fouga Magister dès 1976. Ces appareils furent achetés à l'Autriche et reconditionnés par la Sogerma de Bordeaux. Un 7e appareil fut acquis mais ne fut jamais employé en vol.
Ils étaient basés au Casement Baldonell pour le Light Strike Squadron, furent arrêtés en 1998 et non remplacés. Aujourd'hui, ils sont toujours préservés en Irlande dans cette même base.
Par le passé, ce corps d'armée utilisa 4 des 6 avions pour faire une patrouille acrobatique. Elle fut nommée les "Silver Swallows".
